Breakfast Mix
Designed for filling morning routines.
Millet Porridge Mix is a simple, versatile kanji base blended from three to four Tamil millets — thinai (foxtail), varagu (kodo), samai (little millet) and sorghum — pre-roasted for faster cooking and easy digestibility. To prepare: mix 3–4 tablespoons in water or thin buttermilk, cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes stirring regularly, season with salt and gingelly oil for a savoury version or jaggery and coconut milk for a sweet one. The 250g pack makes 10–12 servings. No preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. A practical everyday breakfast choice for families transitioning from white rice to millets, and an accessible starting point for anyone new to millet-based cooking. Mrs. Esakkiammal prepares it in small batches at Iyarkai Pantry. Best consumed within 3 months of purchase. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
